Clifton Suspension Bridge...
C M S were proud to have been asked to work on the iconic Clifton suspension bridge. We were given the task of replacing the supporting steel beams and deck covers over the chambers to the main chain supports. As each of the four chambers were slightly different from one another, each were bespoke fabricated, galvanized and installed.
Broadwier Culvert Major Road Strengthening
Working with Bristol City Council, C M S fabricated 6 beams each weighing in excess of 1 tonne each. The beams were then lowered into the river Frome culvert and transported 500m underground where they were lifted into position and secured under a weak road in Bristol City centre.
Mall Galleries Bristol Major Refurbishment works
C M S have worked with major contractors on the refurbishment of the main shopping mall. All work undertaken was completed at night with no disruption of the daily opening hours.
Removal of staircases
University of Bristol
C M S have worked with the University of Bristol for a number of years producing a number of bespoke test rigs for the earthquake and heavy engineering laboratories.
